On a short video published a few days ago, RIVIAN, the electric vehicle startup company backed by Amazon and Ford, showed us that an important part of their product development process is doing User Research with their target audience.
I enjoyed seeing this video because they also gave a glimpse of design features that they incorporated in their vehicle coming from that research, like the door-integrated flash light, or the gear tunnel on the pick up truck.
My take
I enjoyed this because is very rare to see this kind of product development processes being published. Whoever is doing it, tends to either be secretive about it because they see it as a major advantage, or they are to shy to talk about it, most probably because they are not very sure about it.
Either way, I hope to see more of these.
